<p>Chef Mond Suwijak Kunghae, a Phuket-born talent, brings Southern Thai cuisine to life through bold, modern interpretations. Raised in a family that has run the long-standing Kaab Gluay restaurant in Patong for over 20 years, his passion for local flavours began early</p><p><br></p><p>After graduating from the School of The Oriental Hotel Apprenticeship Program (OHAP), he went on to become executive chef at Foto Hotel at just 24. He later gained national recognition after winning Iron Chef Thailand 2020 and was also honoured with the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Thailand Young Chef Award</p><p><br></p><p>At Restaurant Royd in Phuket Old Town, Chef Mond showcases the essence of Southern Thai culture through expressive dishes, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients while honoring tradition with a creative touch</p><p><br></p>
